Does your puppy have a sensitive appetite? I adopted a finicky fur baby who refused most of the store-bought products. He would turn up his nose to most canned and dry foods and wouldn't even eat a milk bone dog biscuit! Because I was experimenting with so many different things, he always ended up with soft stools. So after consulting with my veterinarian, I decided to try making his own food.
I cook this delicious chicken dinner for him every week. The recipe makes seven 1-cup servings. He also has dry food available to him, as well as treats that he enjoys. Here the recipe:
PUPPY CHICKEN DINNER
Ingredients:
Chicken breast, 8 oz Large (38.1oz, 1080g)
Water, 4 Cups (33.44oz, 948g)
Chicken Flavor Bullion, 2 Teaspoons (0.28oz, 8g)
Vegetables Mixed Corn Lima Beans Peas -Green Carrots Canned No Salt Added, 3 1⁄2 Cups (22.47oz, 637g)
White rice, 1 Cup (5.57oz, 158g)
Instant Oatmeal, Original, 8 Grams (0.28oz, 8g)
Instructions:
Dice chicken breast into small bite size pieced (1/8 to 1/4" cubes)
Place chicken, water, and bullion into large skillet. Heat on high, covered, until cooked. 5-10 minutes
Add drained canned vegetables, rice and oatmeal to skillet and mix thoroughly to combine. Bring mixture to a boil and let boil 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, cover, and let sit until the liquid is absorbed.
Let cool and store in the fridge. I divide into three containers, six meals, and then serve i leave one serving for my dog's meal that day.
