"Creativity is the sudden cessation of stupidity."
– Edwin Land
Edwin Land's saying that "creativity is the sudden cessation of stupidity" may have a humorous tone to it, but it speaks to our human capacity for creativity if we can just remove stagnation and open up new possibilities. If you can imagine something, if you can dream it, if you allow yourself to think freely, then it can be created and brought into reality. Creativity is enhanced if we are willing to let go of those self-imposed buffers that prevent us from opening up our hearts and minds. Yes, mistakes will be made along the way - mistakes that could be considered silly or stupid - however, trust in yourself and believe these moments are in fact creative steps forward because if you never take a step, how can progress ever happen?
