"Talent is sort of a dark gift, that talent is its own expectation; it is there from the start and either lived up to or lost."
– David Foster Wallace
David Foster Wallace's brilliantly articulated words about talent remind us that such a gift is no easy thing to handle. His words signify that it is up to the individual to create, imagine, believe and dream in order to do justice to one's talent. Developing the necessary skills to nurture the potential of this gift can be intimidating; however, more often than not, when we commit ourselves fully to realizing our ambitions and ideas, we are able to unleash our true potential and reap all of its rewards. Let us remember Wallace's words as motivation and encourage us to explore and develop our talents regardless of effort or time taken.
