"Don’t wait for inspiration. It comes while working." - Henri Matisse

Henri Matisse was a French artist who is known for his use of color and his fluid, exuberant style. As an art student, Matisse initially struggled to find his voice. He was deeply influenced by the work of Impressionists like Claude Monet, but he didn't want to simply copy what had been done before. It wasn't until he began experimenting with bolder colors and patterns that he found his unique approach to painting. And once he did, there was no stopping him. Matisse went on to become one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. His work is celebrated for its vibrancy and joie de vivre. When asked about his creative process, Matisse famously said, "Don't wait for inspiration. It comes while working." This quote has often been used as a rallying cry for artists who are struggling to find their muse. The message is simple but profound: if you can imagine it, it can be created. So get to work and see what inspiration comes your way.
