Thursday Creative Motivation

"Down time is where we become ourselves…a hiatus that passes for boredom but is really the quiet moving of the wheels inside that fuel creativity."

Anna Quindlen captures the importance of taking time for yourself in order to nurture your creativity. People often view "down time" as monotonous and boring, but in fact, this restful period is perfect for letting your imagination soar. Doing something that looms with potential if you can image it can help shape who we become. This may include activities like painting, writing, or just daydreaming if that's what works best for you. Believe in yourself and take the time you need to cultivate those ideas; if you commit to an activity, it can be created! Engaging your creative thinking capabilities during "down time" can show tremendous payoff in personal and professional development.
