“It is important that students bring a certain ragamuffin, barefoot irreverence to their studies; they are not here to worship what is known, but to question it.”
– Jacob Bronowski
Jacob Bronowski was onto something groundbreaking when he said that students should approach their studies with creative irreverence instead of pure worship. Students should not only believe what is known, but use this knowledge to inspire creative solutions and stimulate dreamers to create something new. Comfort in the known is a safe harbor, but it won't motivate true progress and success. As Bronowski himself said "Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of bad training." So take his advice and bring the creative ragamuffin out in yourself!
